Evaluation
I was asked to make a promotional video for a charity called RDWWA.
2. Who/ what were you making a video about?
I was making the video about the charity RDWWA which supports disabled women, majorly Asian woman.
3. What was the purpose of the video?
The purpose of the video was to promote the charity and to show people why they should volunteer and how they can get involved.
4. What did you do in each production stage?
- Pre - Production
In the pre production stage I researched the charity to try and find some information about the charity. I also thought of questions we could use when we went to interview them, we also contacted them to see when we could go and interview them.
- Production
During the production stage we had to go to the house of the woman who runs the charity and to try and find out all the different types of information in put the video.
- Post Production
In the post production stage we had to edit the footage we had been previously given and import the new footage and pick out the bits that had the important pieces of information on them.
5. What problems did you encounter and how did you solve them?
A problem we encountered was that the footage took along time to import so we had to stay back after lesson to do the work and import the rest of the footage. Another problem would be that there was a lot of information to go through so we split up the footage and tried to work our way through it.
6. What were your strengths and weaknesses in each stage?
My strengths would be that I easily found information on the charity although there was not much of it, another strength would be that picking out the music was quite easy. However my weaknesses are that i could have taken part in the filming more and helped out a bit more when it came to editing the work.
7. What is your opinion of the finished product?
My opinion of the finished product overall is that it is good, however I think that it could be longer and it could also include more information and how people can get involved as I think that it was missing from our work.
